Public Notice - Intention of Withdrawal of Authorization (Union Montréal)

The Chief Electoral Officer of Québec hereby gives notice of his intention to withdraw the authorization of the municipal political party “Union Montréal”, pursuant to Section 404 of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities (AERM) (Chapter E-2.2), for the following reasons:

  • Failure to provide the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec with the information required to update the register specified under Section 424 of the AERM;
  • Failure to appoint a leader, in accordance with Division II, Subsection 3 of Chapter Xlll (Title l) of the AERM.

Anyone wishing to submit comments or arguments against the withdrawal of this party’s authorization must convey these in writing no later than October 7, 2013, 4:30 p.m. to the following address:
