Moving? Remember to change your address!

23 June 2021

Categories: General election, Municipal

Moving season is coming up fast. With municipal elections just a few months away, it is important to change your address as soon as possible. You must be entered on the list of electors at your domicile address to vote in this fall’s municipal elections. You must also be at least 18 years old and a Canadian citizen.

If you have moved or are in the process of doing so, we invite you to make your change of address quickly, and encourage those around you to do the same, as an address cannot be changed on election day.

It’s easier before the election period.

It is also easier to change your address before the start of the election period. Simply use the Service québécois de changement d’adresse or contact us by phone at 1-888-ELECTION. After September 1, electors should contact their municipality to enter or change their entry on the list of electors for the November 7 elections.

The Charter of the French language and its regulations govern the consultation of English-language content.
