Notes and methodology
The historical atlas of Québec electoral divisions and municipalities is a large file; it contains a significant amount of geometric data that contribute to the quality of information displayed.
The boundaries of the territories and municipalities were reconstructed from the 2011 electoral map. Changes to these boundaries in older and newer electoral maps were made based on changes to municipal boundaries and various historical documents.
