This Excel file allows you to explore the various administrative entities for a given postal code including electoral divisions, municipalities, RCMs and administrative regions. It includes instructions on how to use it.

The document can be used to conduct searches for a single item or in a batch or to extract postal codes by electoral division.

Raw data in text format

This tool is designed for database managers. It has over 214,000 lines but no programmed functions. It can be used to feed databases with search functions that have already been programmed.

The file includes all the information associated with each postal code including:

  • Electoral division (code and name)
  • Municipality (code, name and designation)
  • RCM (code and name)
  • Administrative region (code and name)
  • The new electoral division (code and name, two columns that remain empty until a new electoral map is adopted)

The raw data is provided as a delineated file (the delineator is a semi-colon).  The file includes a line of titles; each recorded item is given after this line.
