What happens once a provincial election is officially called? What steps need to be taken to ensure electors can vote freely and with complete confidence? Questions like these are especially relevant in the middle of an election year! Élections Québec invites you to find the answers by taking part in an exciting new activity based on the election calendar.
Developed as part of the Assemblée nationale’s public programming, “Calendrier électoral : le compte à rebours!” is part election planning workshop, part escape room. Take a deep dive into the electoral process and see if you can meet the challenge of getting everything ready by election day.
Whether you participate alone or in a group, you will have 80 minutes to get through the main steps involved in organizing a provincial election. Enjoy the fun atmosphere as you learn about different election-related concepts: the election order (or writ), election officers, the permanent list of electors, voting procedures, the counting of the votes, etc.
Open to the general public, the workshop will be offered on May 12, June 9, July 9 and August 13 in the Assemblée nationale’s welcome centre. To reserve your spot, register now on the website!
