Contributors who have made contributions to political entities authorized by the Chief Electoral Officer, including during leadership campaigns for provincial or municipal political parties, is public information. This data covers the current year and the six previous years.
The Act requires the disclosure of the family name, first name, postal code and city of every person who made a contribution, regardless of the amount, to an authorized political entity, no later than 30 working days after its receipt by the Chief Electoral Officer.

All contributions made to a municipal political entity totalling more than $50 are a matter of public record.
We release the full name, postal code and municipality of residence of persons who have made contributions to an authorized independent candidate or political party. The postal code of these individuals may differ from that of the candidate’s or party’s municipality, since they may own more than one residence or have moved between contributions.

Important
The name and address of the contributor on our website may differ from the name and address on the political entity’s financial report.
We release the full name, postal code, and municipality of residence of anyone who made contributions totalling $100 or more to an authorized candidate.
This information is taken from the financial reports of authorized candidates filed with the director general of their school board.
Prior to 2014, lists of contributors were only found in the financial reports available at the office of the school board where the candidate was authorized.
