Making sure your name is on the list of electors

Summary

To vote, you must be registered on the list of electors at your home address. Make sure your information is accurate. Don't wait! On election day, you will not be able to register or change your address.

Provincial

Note: if your electoral district is undergoing an election and you registered to the list of electors or changed your information since [jour -33], you may not see these changes in the verification tool. Proof of registration or change to the list of electors will appear on the document you receive from the board of revisors that will process your application.

You can check that your name is on the list of electors:

During an election period, your municipal returning officer will send you a notice informing you that your name is on the list of electors. Please ensure that the information is accurate. You may also contact your municipal returning officer to find out if your name is on the list of electors.

Can’t find your name? Is there a mistake? Are you moving?

School

You can check that your name is on the list of electors:

  • By contacting us outside of an election period
  • On the information card or registration notice you received in the mail at the beginning of the election period
  • By contacting your returning officer, during a school election

During the election period (from [-44] to election day), you can check that your name is on the list of electors:

  • By contacting your returning officer
  • On the notice you might receive in the mail at the beginning of the election period
